Know who’s calling
When a MaxoTel call matches a customer or contact, Tall Emu can bring up the right CRM record. You can see who it is and what was happening before you answer instead of searching while they’re waiting.

Tall Emu + MaxoTel
Tall Emu integrates with MaxoTel. Connect MaxoTel to Tall Emu and the call can become part of the customer history. Tall Emu can identify the caller, log the call and, where call recording is enabled, keep the recording, transcript and AI summary with the customer.
So you’re not just keeping a phone log. You’re keeping the conversation.
When a MaxoTel call matches a customer or contact, Tall Emu can bring up the right CRM record. You can see who it is and what was happening before you answer instead of searching while they’re waiting.
Calls can be logged against the customer automatically, so your call history doesn’t depend on everyone remembering to update CRM after every conversation.
You get a much more consistent record of who called, who handled it and when.
Nobody has a better phone call because they were busy typing notes. Where MaxoTel call recording is enabled and made available to Tall Emu, Tall Emu can keep the recording and use it to:
You can focus on the call and still have a useful CRM record afterwards.
A summary is great when you just need to know what happened. Sometimes you need more than that. Read the transcript, or go back to the recording if you need to check the exact requirement, promise, complaint or agreement. That’s a lot better than arguing over a two-line note someone wrote from memory.
MaxoTel calls can sit in Tall Emu alongside emails, meetings, notes, tasks, opportunities, quotes, orders, jobs, tickets and the rest of the customer record. So when someone else picks up the customer, they’ve got the history.
Managers don’t need another report that says 42 calls today. The useful bit is knowing what those calls were about. A one-line summary can turn the call list into things like:
waiting before confirming order.
replacement agreed.
another warehouse location.
Now the call data starts telling you something about the business.
When we rebuilt the Tall Emu website, we used our own customer call history and summaries to help work out what people kept asking us, what they found confusing and what they actually wanted to know. Then we used that to help decide what the website needed to explain.
That’s the point of keeping the conversation: it doesn’t just help with one customer call. Over time, it becomes useful business data.
You’ll need an active MaxoTel service first. The Tall Emu Help Centre has the current setup steps, including enabling MaxoTel in Tall Emu, entering the MaxoTel API key, setting up the webhook and mapping phone extensions to Tall Emu users.
