V3 PREVIEW

See the new Tall Emu in action.

Take a first look at the new interface and some of the improvements already coming together in Tall Emu V3.

Tall Emu V3

A much bigger Tall Emu.

V3 brings a faster, more flexible Tall Emu, with major new capability across the CRM, customer forms, reporting, products, stock, warehouse, manufacturing, freight, workflow and mobile.

The Tall Emu your team knows is still here. Your customers, products, Quotes, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Jobs and Shipments remain familiar. V3 builds much more around them.
Orders Board — keep the customer order at the centre from quote through fulfilment and shipping.

What’s changing

More capability across the whole business.

Some of V3 will be obvious the first time you log in. Other changes go deeper into the way Tall Emu handles the work after a sale. Together, they make the system much more capable without changing the core records your team already understands.

Everyday CRM

Do more without opening every record.

V3 substantially improves the basic experience of working in Tall Emu. Lists become more useful, records are easier to move between, and the same patterns are used more consistently across the application.

  • Editable grids:  update supported text, number, date, currency, dropdown and CRM lookup fields directly from the list.
  • Cell-level validation:  see exactly which value needs attention when something can’t be saved.
  • Preview:  look at a record from a list, Card, lookup or related tab without losing where you were.
  • Better navigation:  previous/next records, better browser behaviour, direct links and stronger preservation of list state.
  • Richer Cards:  show the information that matters before somebody opens the full record.
Edit in the list.Supported values can be changed directly in the grid instead of opening every record.

Screen, Form & Card Designer

Make Tall Emu fit the way your team works.

V3 gives administrators much more control over the screens people use every day. Put important information where users need it, move less useful detail out of the way, and make the same record work differently on desktop and mobile.

Design the actual working screen.Move fields, add sections and tabs, control properties and preview the mobile layout.
Layout

Fields, sections and tabs

Add, remove and reorder fields. Mix standard and custom data in the same layout. Organise the record around the job your users are actually doing.

Behaviour

Show the right information at the right time

Change labels, required behaviour, read-only behaviour and visibility rules, including conditional fields and mobile-specific visibility.

Cards

Design the summary too

Control what appears on the Card users see in lists and mobile views instead of forcing the full form to do every job.

Webforms, surveys & bookings

Bring more of the customer interaction back into Tall Emu.

If a customer, prospect, supplier or other external person needs to give you structured information, V3 can increasingly collect it through a link and bring the response directly back into the CRM process.

Webforms

Ask for the information you need

Use customer-facing forms for onboarding, product requirements, site details, delivery information, approvals, registrations, service information and other structured processes. The person completing the form doesn’t need a Tall Emu login.

Surveys & NPS

Record the answer against the customer

Collect survey, feedback and NPS responses without leaving the result in a separate survey platform. Use the information later in follow-up, reporting, segmentation and workflow.

Pickup bookings

Let customers choose when they’re coming

Offer pickup locations and available times while controlling opening hours, duration, notice periods and how many collections can be handled at the same time.

Meeting bookings

Send a link instead of trading emails

Offer the meeting times you want to make available. The customer selects one and the booking becomes part of the CRM activity rather than a separate scheduling trail.

The important bit is what happens after Submit.

A webform response can become information Tall Emu can work with: attach it to the right record, update the process, create follow-up and use the submission as part of automation.

01

Send the link

No CRM login required.

02

Customer responds

Structured information, not an email blob.

03

CRM receives it

Keep the answer with the relevant record.

04

Check the result

Use fields, score or booking detail.

05

Trigger workflow

Create follow-up or continue the process.

06

Act

Your team works from the same information.

Reporting & dashboards

See the number. Then get to the work behind it.

V3 moves reporting further into the application and gives users more control over their own reports and dashboards. The aim is to make reporting part of how people work, rather than a separate activity that ends at a chart.

Self service

Manage more of your own reporting

Users can increasingly manage reports, dashboards, filters and useful views without every change becoming an administration or consulting request.

Operational

Drill through to the actual records

If the dashboard says there are 23 overdue orders, the useful next step is opening those 23 Sales Orders and doing something about them.

AI

Use AI to get to a useful starting point

The new reporting architecture creates a much stronger base for asking for a dashboard or report without having to know exactly how to build it first.

Products, configuration & Made to Order

Sell what the customer actually wants.

V3 significantly extends the way Tall Emu handles products that are more complex than a SKU and a quantity.

  • Capture Product Features such as colour, size, fabric, finish, material, dimensions and other customer-specific information.
  • Combine configuration with real variation SKUs where stock still needs to be managed at variant level.
  • Capture quantity matrices such as quantities by size while keeping the overall configured product easy to sell.
  • Keep personalisation, artwork, proofs and other order-specific detail with the sale.
  • Carry Made to Order information into purchasing when a supplier is making it, or manufacturing when you are.
Configured products stay part of the sale.Choices and structured product information can continue into the work that follows.

Orders Board

Keep the customer order at the centre.

Once the customer says yes, the work starts. The new Orders Board brings more of that operational journey together so your team can see what has happened, what still needs to happen and what is holding an order up.

Quote → Order → Fulfilment → Shipping.See credit holds, production state, partial dispatch and other operational information around the customer order.

Purchasing

See where supply still has to be purchased or received and connect incoming stock with the demand that needs it.

Manufacturing

See where an order depends on production and the Work Orders behind it.

Fulfilment

See whether an order is ready, held up, backordered or moving through warehouse work.

Shipping

Keep shipment progress and partial dispatch visible as the order moves toward completion.

Inventory & warehouse

Know what stock you have — and where it actually is.

V3 expands the physical stock model and the warehouse processes around it. This is about representing the way real stock is stored, identified, moved, picked and shipped.

Locations

Multiple warehouses, bays and bins

Track stock at the level your warehouse actually uses so receiving, put-away, movement and picking can work from a meaningful physical location.

Traceability

Serial and batch tracking together

Use both levels of tracking where the product requires them, retaining the wider batch context as well as the identity of individual serialised units.

Handling units

Pallet-based stock movements

Associate stock with a pallet and move the physical handling unit the way the warehouse actually moves it instead of updating unrelated lines one by one.

Warehouse Mobile

Goods In → Put Away → Pick → Pack → Ship

Give warehouse operators a barcode-first mobile workflow tied directly to the same stock and shipment information the office uses.

Stock movements that match the real warehouse.

Receive stock, identify it, put it away, move it between bays or on pallets, allocate it to demand, pick it and ship it — with the same inventory information connected to sales, purchasing and manufacturing.

Manufacturing

From what was sold to what needs to be made.

Manufacturing is one of the biggest areas of new V3 capability. The important part is the connection: customer configuration can continue into BOMs, materials, Work Orders, production planning and the shop floor.

01

Product

What you sell.

02

Order

What the customer actually selected.

03

BOM

Materials, formulas and production steps.

04

Work Order

The operational manufacturing record.

05

Plan & run

Resources, capacity and Shop Floor.

06

Dispatch

Finished work back into fulfilment.

Production planning

Plan work against the resources that can actually do it.

The new Planning Board brings unscheduled work, machines, people, dates, shifts and available capacity into one interactive production view.

  • See unscheduled production work that still needs a place in the plan.
  • Schedule operations against machines, people and resource groups.
  • Move work between resources and dates as priorities or availability change.
  • Account for working time, downtime, capacity and production dependencies.
  • See the plan across a rolling multi-day or multi-week view.
Capacity-aware production planning.Unscheduled work on the left, resources down the board and planned operations across the week.

BOMs & production steps

A BOM can describe the work, not just the ingredients.

V3 manufacturing can use production parameters, calculated quantities, conditions and reusable Production Steps. A process can describe setup, duration, resources, instructions, dependencies and outsourced operations.

Visual production steps on the BOM.Build or reuse the operations required to make the product.

Parameterised manufacturing

What the customer orders can change what production needs.

Parameterised BOMs

Values such as width, length or other order-specific information can become manufacturing parameters and participate in production calculations.

Calculated quantities

Material requirements don’t have to be fixed. Component quantities can be calculated from dimensions or other production values.

Conditional components

Selected options can determine which components production actually requires instead of handing the factory every possible option.

Reusable production processes

Production Step templates let common routings be defined once and reused across products, then adjusted where a particular product genuinely differs.

Work Orders

Keep the customer requirement with the production work.

The Work Order becomes the operational manufacturing record, connecting the BOM, materials and production work back to the actual customer demand.

  • Carry Product Features, dimensions, personalisation, artwork and other order-specific information into production.
  • See material requirements, shortages, Purchase Orders and incoming supply around the job.
  • Connect production steps, resources and required dates with the same Work Order.
  • Use a header Work Order with operational child Work Orders underneath for larger customer jobs.
One customer job, multiple pieces of production.Header and child Work Orders keep the overall job visible while each production record can be managed individually.

Manufacturing Control Centre

See where production needs attention.

Supervisors need a different view from planners and operators. The Control Centre brings together what is late, at risk, blocked, ready and running, along with resource load and the work that needs attention next.

  • Running Now, Ready Next, Needs Attention and At Risk views.
  • Surface material shortages and blocked production.
  • See resource load and recent manufacturing activity.
  • Keep outsourced production operations visible as part of the overall manufacturing process.
What needs attention, right now.A supervisor view across blocked work, ready work and resource load.

Visual Workflow Designer

See the process you’re automating.

Tall Emu already has automation. V3 makes it much easier to understand by turning the process into a visual flow rather than a collection of separate configuration records.

  • Use visual triggers, conditions and branches.
  • Add waits, assignments, record creation and record updates.
  • Send email and SMS as part of the process.
  • Connect webform submissions and customer responses to the workflow that follows.
  • Use clearer workflow history to understand what happened.
Build automation as a flow.Triggers and actions are visible in the order they happen.

Mobile & operational apps

Tall Emu goes where the work happens.

V3 is expanding beyond “desktop CRM on a smaller screen”. Different kinds of mobile work get experiences designed around the job being done.

Mobile CRM

Customers and records on the road

Mobile navigation, editing, Cards, search and quick actions, with mobile-specific layouts and location-aware features such as Nearby Customers.

Warehouse Mobile

Barcode-first warehouse work

Goods In, receiving, put-away, Pick, Pack, Ship, serials, batches, expiry information and locations against the same Tall Emu stock and shipment records.

Jobs

Field work that keeps working

A dedicated offline-first Jobs app for job details, customer and site information, stock usage, custom fields, scheduling and progress away from the office.

Delivery

Your own last-mile delivery

Driver delivery lists, customer details, navigation, calling, delivery progress and “On the way” communication tied back to the Tall Emu shipment.

Freight, Portal, Documents & AI

There’s more around the edges too.

V3 isn’t only about the core CRM and operations screens. A number of surrounding capabilities are also moving forward as part of the same broader platform.

Freight Hub

Multi-carrier freight quoting, service comparison, consignments, package handling, labels and tracking as part of the quoting and fulfilment process.

Customer Portal

A more modern branded customer experience for quoting, ordering, configurable products, personalisation, artwork and freight, connected to the same Tall Emu customers and transactions.

Document Designer

A browser-based visual template designer with merge fields, images, headers, footers, web and PDF output, Preview and AI-assisted starting points.

AI where it helps

AI-assisted forms, documents and reporting, more record-aware assistance, voice input where appropriate and ways to suggest useful actions from CRM information.

In-product help

Need to know how? Ask Tall Emu to show you.

V3 introduces Show Me guidance inside the actual application. Instead of reading a help article and then trying to remember the steps, users can be guided through the task where they’re doing it.

  • Step-by-step instructions inside Tall Emu.
  • Guided tasks that point to the actual controls the user needs.
  • Direct links into a tutorial when somebody needs help with a particular task.
  • Updated Help Centre content and training alongside the in-product guidance.
Help in the place you need it.Show Me can guide a user through the actual V3 interface step by step.

V3 rollout

A new generation of Tall Emu. Not a new system you have to start again with.

The first V3 rollout wave is planned to begin from 1 October 2026. The rollout will be staged rather than moving every customer at once.

Your team will still be working with the customers, products, Quotes, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Jobs, Shipments and business processes they already understand — with a much more capable V3 experience around them.

We’ll let you knowWe’ll contact customers as their transition approaches.
Training and Help CentreWe’ll continue adding videos and updated help material around V3.
Show Me inside V3Step-by-step guidance can help users learn directly in the application.
Same business recordsV3 builds on the Tall Emu concepts your team already uses to run the business.
