MYOB

What are the benefits of MYOB accounting software?

MYOB accounting software in Australia is one of the most popular bookkeeping programs available.  MYOB offers a range of advantages to business owners. You’re able to track a range of different factors – such as income, debt, bills and inventory – through a simple interface that also allows for considerable flexibility.

You’re not stuck having to use a desktop, either. MYOB offers app-based features that allow you to access your records, issue invoices and more remotely. So for small business owners, it’s about consolidating a range of different processes under the one banner. This can be a huge time saver.

There are also a myriad of advantages to having your CRM integrated with MYOB. You’re able to gain the benefits of additional features and having access to customer histories, without needing to sacrifice the functionality that MYOB can offer.

Which MYOB is best for small business?

Wondering how to choose the right CRM? Every small business has its own unique needs, so it’s important to choose accounting software like MYOB carefully. Features of MYOB accounting software can vary quite a bit depending on the iteration you choose.

So it’s important to think about the future of your business and how you plan to expand and grow, rather than simply focusing on the current needs your company has.

The cost of MYOB accounting software should also be factored in. You want to make sure you’re not paying too much for features you’re just not using.

With all of this said, MYOB Business is an excellent candidate for many smaller companies. It offers cash flow tracking, financial statements, tax management and more. You’re also able to import data from other platforms.

What are some of the challenges of integrating a CRM with MYOB?

The “best” CRM for MYOB is subjective, and different types of CRM will offer different features. So it’s not surprising that integrating CRM software with MYOB can present a number of different challenges. Some of the most common include:

  • Technical expertise: Integrating MYOB with other CRM platforms can be quite complex, and will require technical expertise. If you don’t have this type of expertise within your organisation, you may need to look elsewhere to find a contractor or vendor that’s appropriately equipped to assist.
  • Data security: Protecting customer and internal data security is crucial. Failing to do so can have reputational and legal implications. So when you integrate a CRM with accounting software like MYOB, it’s critical to have the right cybersecurity measures in place.
  • Cost: The integration process can be expensive, depending on the MYOB and CRM version you are using.

What’s the difference between CRM and ERP?

Both CRM and ERP are different types of programs and software used to enable business functions.

CRM refers to “customer relationship management”, whereas ERP refers to programs used for “enterprise resource planning”.

In simpler terms, CRM software is designed to enable front-end functions, like marketing, sales and customer service. By contrast, ERP software is used for functions that are normally out of the customer’s view – accounting, finance, HR, supply chains and more.

Although both CRM software and ERP software are able to help your business scale, grow and expand, they serve quite different functions. Accordingly, most companies will likely end up utilising both during their lifespan.

What are the benefits of using a CRM?

Investing in software for CRM can offer a range of different benefits.

Customer relationship management software enables you to keep track of all the interactions and touchpoints you have with a customer. In turn, this enables you to enhance and improve customer relationships. Having all of the historical information available at a glance means that you can better tailor your approach and responses to customer needs.

Having the right Australian CRM software also creates the potential for better sales productivity. You’re able to track your sales pipeline within the program. In conjunction with customer information, you can better identify opportunities for outreach, upselling and cross-selling.

The best CRM software will also allow you to improve your efficiency. You’re able to automate certain tasks, helping streamline your sales and marketing process.

Last (but certainly not least), CRM software in Australia can help you collect and analyse data to help you to make better business decisions.

How do I choose the right CRM for my business?

When you’re selecting software for CRM, it can be challenging to know which one is right for your company. But there are a few standout considerations.

First of all, your software should feature a range of CRM integrations. This will allow it to interface with the systems you’re already using, and help avoid issues with double-handling.

It’s easy to be wowed by features, too. But make sure you’re selecting a product with features that are actually relevant to your needs, and that can be tailored to the specifics of your company.

Opting for an Australian CRM can also be useful, to help you get the support you need in a timely fashion.

And of course, make sure that it’s easy to use!

What are some challenges of implementing CRM software in Australia?

When it comes to implementing new software for CRM, there tends to be four main challenges. Let’s take a closer look at some of them below, and how they can be addressed.

  • Changing the way your team works – Adding a new piece of software to the daily routine will naturally have a learning curve, and shift the current routine. So it’s important to make sure you choose the best CRM software for the task. It should be easy to use, enhancing day-to-day workflow rather than needlessly adding to it.
  • Overcoming user resistance – User resistance tends to be closely related to changing the way your team works. Employees understandably don’t want to have to add to their workload for no perceived benefit. So it’s important to look for customer relationship management software that will allow your staff to streamline their work and that integrates effectively with their other systems. Which leads us to our next point…

  • Integrating the CRM with your other business systems – It’s essential that your CRM integrates with other software you use on a daily basis. Customer databases, stock keeping and accounting software are just a few considerations. Having an Australian CRM can be an effective way to tackle this, as you’ll be dealing with a provider that’s aware of the most common programs in the Australian market.
  • Managing the cost of the CRM – Cost-management is key for effective CRM use. You want one that offers a range of features while still being affordable. Part of this is being able to get the most out of the support offered too. Some small business owners opt to use an Australian-based CRM so that they know support will be accessible in a timely fashion from a local provider. This can cut issues with downtime and accessibility, which left unchecked can add to your overall running costs.

How do I get the most out of my CRM?

To get the most out of your CRM, you need to use it regularly and make sure it is integrated with your other business systems. You should also set up regular reports and analytics to track the success of the CRM. This will help provide you with tangible insights into the way your CRM is aiding your business.

Tall Emu also has an entire help section to help you diagnose, tailor and improve your Tall Emu CRM. Additionally, Tall Emu support is also Australian-based, allowing you to get any issues resolved quickly and locally.
