Commit stock to sales orders and act on shortages
Available items are committed when added to a Sales Order. If there isn't enough stock, the missing quantity goes on backorder. Your team can see the shortage before arranging fulfilment.
Create a Purchase Order for the items needed, or a Work Order for products you make. When stock becomes available, release the backorder so the order can move ahead.

Create purchase orders for suppliers and choose the location the goods are being purchased for. Receive the quantities that arrive against an Inbound Shipment, with stock increasing when the receipt is recorded.
Supplier records, supplier pricing and requests for quote help keep buying decisions with the products you purchase. Landed cost calculations let you include freight and other associated costs when reviewing what stock has cost the business.
See stock across locations and track transfers
See stock at multiple locations and choose where to sell from or receive goods. Locations can be selected for an order or individual sales items, helping the team supply an order from the right place.
Stock Transfers and Stock Transfer Shipments record movement between locations, including stock in transit. Bay locations identify where a product is held within a warehouse. Location setup depends on your accounting integration and configuration.
Keep receiving, picking, packing and dispatch connected
Inbound Shipments record goods arriving from suppliers. Outbound Shipments track customer orders through picking, packing and shipping, giving the office and warehouse a shared record of progress.
Barcode scanning supports picking against an Outbound Shipment, reducing manual product entry. Scanners need to be configured for Tall Emu's barcode workflow.

Yes. Sales Orders commit available stock and show shortages as backorders. You can create Purchase Orders for the goods needed, receive incoming stock and release backorders when stock becomes available.
