We’re making a long overdue change to the Tall Emu brand. There's a lot of work to be done, and the reason is simple - I want to remove three letters: CRM.
So, as of now - Tall Emu CRM is becoming Tall Emu. Having those little letters after our name really limits how people think about our product, and in an AI powered world, we can't afford to have people think of us as a simple sales tool.
Most of our customers sell actual things - things that need to be bought, stocked, manufactured, picked, packed, shipped, installed, serviced, invoiced and paid for. So we've added powerful inventory features; manufacturing, purchasing, online quoting - and more recently freight booking and management, all in one system suitable for small businesses running MYOB or Xero.
When you have a serious inventory management capability like that, it's crazy to call yourself a CRM. I mean - how many CRM systems have warehouse workflows, serial and batch tracking, pallets, manufacturing, field service, customer portals, online quoting, freight, reporting, dashboards and a growing layer of AI across the top of it all. Not many. In fact, I can only think of one.
So what is Tall Emu now?
Software for businesses that sell products, and need to manage the whole process from lead, sale, complex inventory, manufacturing and ongoing sales. CRM is still part of it. It’s just not the whole story, and hasn't been for a long time.
So we’re dropping three letters from the name.
Tall Emu CRM is becoming Tall Emu.
Same Emu.
Slightly less pigeonholed.
