A company that specializes in providing training was using several disparate systems to manage different aspects of the business. This included a custom-built Access based application to manage their customers and training courses, a customized accounting system and several Excel spreadsheet files, none of which interacted with each other. Additionally, their website required complex data-entry to publish new courses. This resulted in much double, or even treble, entry of data.
Jobs that used to take significant time, such as data entry into the accounting system, are now eliminated.
What we did
We used Tall Emu CRM to consolidate and automate their business. Their old accounting system was decommissioned and an off the shelf system appropriate to their needs was used which Tall Emu CRM automatically updating the accounting system. Information which was manually entered and maintained, such as a customer’s status, was automatically managed based on subscription, course enrollments, product purchases and payment history.
And the data from the old systems were migrated into Tall Emu CRM.
The benefits to the client
Daily processing has been simplified. Jobs that used to take significant time, such as data entry into the accounting system, are now eliminated. Subscription reminders are automatically sent to the customers as they fall due.
The monthly processing, which used to take three days of “all hands on deck” effort, is achieved by one person in a few minutes.
The reliability and efficiency of the new system has meant that the business can scale up their operations with no appreciable change in effort.
