What’s the difference between CRM and ERP?
Both CRM and ERP are different types of programs and software used to enable business functions.
CRM refers to “customer relationship management”, whereas ERP refers to programs used for “enterprise resource planning”.
In simpler terms, CRM software is designed to enable front-end functions, like marketing, sales and customer service. By contrast, ERP software is used for functions that are normally out of the customer’s view – accounting, finance, HR, supply chains and more.
Although both CRM software and ERP software are able to help your business scale, grow and expand, they serve quite different functions. Accordingly, most companies will likely end up utilising both during their lifespan.
